So a few days ago I bought my own blender because I started to really get into making smoothies and get my full serving of fruits and veggies so I will have good nutrients, vitamins and natural sugars. So once I got home, I started looking up some recipes for smoothies and found this one! I tweaked it just a bit, added some things like the flaxseed and cinnamon and some other stuff and the outcome was delicious! Tastes very sweet and VERY filling! The flax seed you cannot taste but you get a huge load of vitamin D3 from it. Cinnamon is also very good for you, and this is an easy way to load up on some fruits to put into your diet. Here it is:
What you will need:
1 frozen banana cut into slices
4-6 frozen strawberries (I used 5, really depends on how much you want though)
1/4 cup of oats
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup milk
2 tsp flax seed
a dash of cinnamon
First put your oats in the blender, and blend it so they are all smashed up and become into a powder
Next add in your banana, strawberries, vanilla, milk and cinnamon on top
Mix unless everything is all together but still has a thick and creamy texture to it. I have a smoothie setting on my blender and I just blended mine for about 10 seconds
Now you are done! Pour it in a glass, sit back and enjoy!

Comments: I think I have been maintaining my weight at 108 for a really long time now, this has been my second plateau! Not quite sure what is up, but I think I am going to switch up the calorie intake and foods I eat to kind of trick my body. Anyway, I have been binge free for so long and I feel so great! I am loving exercising now, I found my new love is swimming laps. I am also trying to eat less packaged things and make the food with homemade stuff ya know?
Today in PE we were doing track (what we have been doing for the past week), but the different thing about today is that we did high jumps. At first it was low, about 2 feet and I made it over easily. Some people tripped. Then it rose to 3 feet. When I jumped over it I could hear people saying things like ‘That girl got air!’ or ‘Daaang!’. After jumping over the 3 footer jump like 5 times, my pe teacher told me I should join the track team next year and how I was really good at it. I told him I have never had any training in running or track or jumping at all before, and he became further impressed telling me that I would be perfect for it and that I got potential. I felt so happy hearing this, just like an extra boost. I was not finished with the jumps though. Then the bar rose to 4 feet. This is when most people gave up. I didn’t. I ran around the half circle as fast as I could and bounced off the ground and bent my back having my belly point to the sun and have the sun in my eyes. Before I know it I am on the cushion, with people around me giving me high fives and clapping around me. I felt so happy. Then I went again, with the bar risen about 4-5 inches more. I ran around again and jumped as high as I could making it over. I did it. I could hear people talking again about it. Cheering me on. I guess what I learned today was that it is always good to have someone be there for you and to believe in you. To give you support and encourage you to do better and more, give you that little boost. But more importantly you have to believe in yourself. Because when you do believe in yourself, you can do anything.
Comments: I know I have probably said this over and over again, but for real this time I actually think I am getting everything together with my new lifestyle change. I have been keeping it consistent with what I eat and my workouts and I just feel good! I do think that I need to have less packaged foods like cereals and stuff, I should be making the food with natural stuff. I am sorry it has been a while since I last updated, I know I should not make excuses but I have been a little busy and just did not really have too much time on my hands with all the testing in school and such. Anyway, I lost 8 pounds since I first started! I feel so accomplished even though I am not at my goal yet. Almost there!
