So it is day 3 of my July cleanse! So far no junk food or added sugar things and I am feeling awesome! Just by eating healthy and controlling proportion size really can make a difference physically and mentally. I am making a lot more home made meals like wraps, veggie and chicken stir fry and so much more! If you want me to put down the recipes for them I would love to because they really do taste amazing and are really healthy too!
If you are considering doing a July cleanse or any cleanse, here are some tips that help me stay on track of eating healthy and resisting junk food:
- Do not buy any junk food or have any in the house (stay away from it!) This way you won’t be tempted really to give in as easily. I am an ‘out of sight out of mind’ kind of person, so this helps a lot having junk food out of the house!
- Buy fresh fruits and veggies (preferably organic). Organic food can get kind of expensive sometimes, so if you cannot get it then just regular fruits and veggies are good too.
- Do not starve yourself! On a cleanse, you want to put good in, not just leave everything out. I still have little granola bars or smoothies to keep me going through the day and have lots of energy
- Make more home made meals. All the packaged food and pre-made microwave meals are not always the best and usually have tons of additives and preservatives. So try making meals at home like wraps, salads, sandwiches, etc.
